Second Nature is a response to the growing need to re-discover simple, considerate ways of living together. In our increasingly divided and distracted society, we are becoming more and more disconnected from our selves, our families, our communities and our environment.
Created by Katy Kent, a qualified Integral & Systemic Coach, Warm Data Host, Forest Bathing & Therapy Guide, Yoga Teacher & Action Learning Practitioner, who takes an ecological and systemic view on challenges we face, individually and collectively today.
Our simple intention is to create spaces of truth and integrity, that become bridges back to feeling connected — where people are able to safely explore what really matters to them, and who they might collaborate with to bring their visions for our changing world to life.
Katy blends developmental coaching with an eco-therapeutic approach to learn from nature’s systems and cycles. Hosting and holding transformative spaces that help us recognise the intricate webs of relationships we’re part of, and how they might support us to lead fulfilling lives.

A natural connector with a passion for joining dots and nurturing intentional relationship, Katy has spent the last 8 years studying coaching, facilitation, somatics, nature therapy and community engagement.
Certified in a number of ‘whole person’ methodologies and accredited with the International Coach Federation (ICF) adhering to their code of ethics.
As continual development is such a crucial part of the ability to support others, Katy is part of several learning communities and networks which nourish and develop her thinking daily.
Prior to starting Second Nature, she spent a decade in London’s advertising agencies (Mother, Ogilvy & Karmarama) learning lessons about the power of narratives and metaphor to support behaviour change, and also about creative collaboration in large international groups and teams.
Following that, she worked and lived in remote locations from Iceland to Colorado, The Alps to Amsterdam for an experiential outdoor adventure company, shaping transformational experiences for international groups, and training and developing cross-cultural teams.
In the last 6 years Katy continues to collaborate with learning organisations You Can Now and The School of Life to design and deliver leadership programmes from a range of large global organisations from WPP to Campari, Apple to Frieze, Cubitts to Hubbub.
